Times have dramatically changed over the past couple of decades. Women are now working to help support their families and help make ends meet.
There are jobs for moms out there, but the key is finding one that works for you and your family.
As a mom, you have a lot of responsibilities that include helping your children, feeding, clothing, helping with homework and to top it all providing them with a loving and caring relationship. In the back of your mind, you are probably wondering what types of jobs are ideal for such moms.

Working with Children
Working with children is always on the top of the list when moms are looking for a flexible job. Working for a daycare is typically flexible because you can bring your children with you (to most daycares). A lot of moms also own their own daycares inside their home, so they can be there for their children on a consistent daily basis.
Working as a teacher or as a teacher’s aide also provides moms with a very flexible schedule. As your children get older, getting a job with your local school will allow you to be close to them as you work, and as such it will also allow you to have a similar schedule as your children.
Starting Your Own Business
One of the best jobs for moms is for them to start their own business. These days, it’s rather easy to start making a craft or perfecting a skill out of your own home. Truly, there are so many things you can do to start your own business – that it does not even have to be in your own home. Think of something flexible that you can do with your children there.
Albeit it will be a little stressful initially, at least you will have access to your children and be there for them all the time. After all, it’s all about being there for your children as much as you possibly can.
Work a Part Time Job
If your family can swing it, then perhaps it’s time to only work a part time job. Working part time allows you to bring in an income and still be there for your children. Waiting tables at night is a fabulous example because you can work nights.
If you only do it a few nights a week, then it will not take a toll on your family life too much. Working full time is also an option, but hopefully you can find a job with a flexible schedule, maybe one that lets you even working at home.
Be as Creative as Possible
There are good jobs options for moms out there. There are even a lot of work at home jobs that one can sort through. Single Mother My Choice has a special section of work at home resources.
Creativity can help you land the job of your dreams, while still being there for your family. Also books on single parenting touch upon the facets which can help you find the job which would best suit you as a single mom.
